Rate card review, letter template configuration, and scope library extraction from your own past fee letters — reviewed and approved by your practice manager before anything goes live. We describe it as work because it is work, and we do not waive it.
GST is added to all prices for Australian customers. Invoiced monthly in advance.
Common questions
- What happens to our data if we leave?
- You export everything — proposals, rate cards, scope library, generated documents — as structured JSON plus a document archive, self-serve, at any time. We retain data for 90 days after cancellation and then purge it. Your firm owns its data; that is in the terms, unambiguously.
- Do we need to change our practice management system?
- No. FeeLetter sits alongside Abtrac, Synergy, Deltek or a spreadsheet. It does not do timesheets, job costing, invoicing or scheduling, and it is not trying to.
- Can we use our own letter template?
- Yes, and you should. We merge into the Word template you already send, so the output looks like what your clients already receive. Setting that up is part of the setup engagement.
- Who can see cost rates?
- Owners and admins only. Authors see charge rates and the fee total, but never what the firm pays its staff or what it makes on a job. The values are removed server-side, so they never reach an author’s browser at all.
- What counts as an author seat?
- Anyone who creates or edits a fee letter. Viewers — people who only read them — are unlimited on every plan.
- Is the setup fee negotiable?
- No. It covers a rate card review, letter template configuration, and extracting your scope library from your own past letters. It is work, done by a person, and discounting it would mean doing less of it — which is how these tools end up unused.
